Looking into Space

Since the very beginning of civilisation, mankind has looked up in awe of the heavens. From the catalogues of constellations produced by the Ancient Egyptians up to the astounding images taken by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, our species is captivated by the night sky. Only relatively recently (late 1600s onwards) have we had the equipment necessary to be able to appreciate its true beauty and striking detail.
